Durham Next helps turn vision into action, working with partners and community members across Durham County to identify, evaluate and advance community-aligned projects outlined in Durham’s Destination Master Plan.

This work is guided by a 20-year vision, established alongside the community, to make Durham the most welcoming, inclusive, innovative and vibrant destination in the country. As we move this work forward, we invite community members to share their perspectives, engage in the process and help shape projects in ways that reflect Durham’s priorities and maximize community benefit.

Register for Upcoming Town Hall

Join us for an interactive community town hall to learn more about the feasibility study for Durham County Memorial Stadium, share your ideas and priorities and help inform the vision for how the stadium can best serve Durham’s visitors and residents in the years ahead. Kids’ coloring corner and Spanish language interpretation services will be available.

Durham Next will ensure that community members and key players are equipped with the necessary information to engage with the organization from an informed perspective.

Durham Next will publicly report the findings from its engagement efforts back to the community to communicate how the feedback received will inform the next phase(s) of the project.

Community Advisory Council

With a desire to listen and incorporate community input into Durham Next projects, including major initiatives that may call for multiple points of input from a variety of audiences, we knew an innovative and sustainable new approach would be needed to be able to deliver on community expectations in a timely way.
